My name is Thea {like the planet or the Titan Goddess of Sight and Shinning-Light}. Many of my closest friends and family call me ‘Marie’...my middle-name. My professional-Crew call me ‘T’Marie, and the folks from my past {career} Life; call me ‘TC’...so as you may sense...I’m a woman of many names...lol!
With regards to ‘Me’...I have two sides {just as any coin}. My outer-essence; @-Home...I am a {long distance} Mom of three, the Baby-sister of nearly 10siblings, the Aunt-T of a slew of awesome Nieces-&-Nephews, a 2nd-tier Cousin; within my uniquely-branded Family {as my Mom & Dad have no siblings}, and a hopeless Romantic of Universal-Love. @-Work...I am a freelance correspondent of Social+Emotional Intelligence {S+EI}, the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of a few Mentoring/Coaching Projects in Washington, DC.
And...My inner-essence is of INFJ {the Protector - by-way-of Jungian standards}.
I have been told I have ‘wrath’ issues, but according to my S+EI Coach {as he reviewed my social+emotional profile}, I’m deeply passionate and take a no-nonsense approach to the elements of Life I’ve been deemed the protector of...which is my intense love for Nature {yeah, I’m a tree-hugger...lol}, the underprivileged, the voiceless, the emotionally-assassinated, and the underDogg. I am the biggest supporter of Poetic Justice ever, and can be found during any season with my nose pressed against the fresh-paper-smell of any Author’s latest piece of brilliance!
When my nose isn't pressed against the Book, I immensely enjoy engaging conversations with my Peeps, jamm’n to the tunes that make you-wanna-jump, jazz, or just ‘be’ {meditating}. I am heavily into personality-theory, team-chemistry, and dream-weaving. I have a slight Hobbit and Harry Potter obsession, I love things of vintage; hence my favorite colors: Brown & Turquoise. I recently discovered that my personality type was that of the Disney Princess; Elsa. ...And in my past Life I experienced nearly 12yrs of full-time non-profit work inside various departments of customer service, call-centers, and Membership. In addition to over 20yrs of part-time service; operating and instructing inside the dynamics of beauty/barber schools/salons.
Oh, I almost forgot...I recently appointment myself the chief-endorser of the 2015 DC Urban Mentors’ Mentor-Leader RoundTables-&-Mixer. With that said...I am expecting our turn-outs to be blissful. I’m also expecting every encounter to be full of lessons surrounding {Social} Emotional Intel, Mindful/Heart-based-leadership, and mounds of life-long-learning wisdom! I am looking-forward to being the Host of our intellectual bridging, conversation-series, and relationship-bonding. For I am the Artist-of-Conversation. Why?...because conversations bring-forth understanding, they clear-up misunderstandings, and they solidify Adoration!
