Here's TO: The BraveHearts & UrbanKnights!

I must admit...this portion of my Americanized-element sooths and encourages me!  I genuinely enjoy the American-Christmas-Spirit.  I love it most because it encourages folk to not be SO darn judgmental...and it’s ever-so-forgiveness comes in abundance.  This particular Season attracts the warm-&-fuzzy...which is my guiding-light...{regardless of the commercialized-hoopla}; I AM forever grateful for this time-of-year.

In exactly (14)days from Today; DC Urban Mentors will be off-&-running.  Our 1st QTR 2015 has a very robust forecasting; so our capacity to live ‘mindfully’ is KEY if we’re going to savor our encounters and remain on-point with what we are setting-out to accomplish.  Within every moment; we must be fully engaged and present-to-the-circumstance.  All sorts of elements of Life will be arriving to greet us...and in order for our ‘luck’ to seize the opportunity...we’d do good to be prepared to receive its greeting. 

In-saying-so; I direct your attention to Stephen R. Covey’s (7) Habits of Highly Effective(ness):

1)     Be PROactive.

2)     Begin with the end in mind.

3)     Put first things first.

4)     Think WIN/WIN.

5)     Seek FIRST to UNDERSTAND and THEN to be understood.

6)     SYNERGIZE!

7)     Sharpen the saw/sword {aka your intelligence}

My hope is that we take-hold of this particular set of paradigms and push-forward; effectively.  ...And honestly...I’m being challenged to stay mindful of all seven while I’m directly in-the-midst of certain moments.  Many times, things unfold so dang fast...and before I know it...I’ve re(acted) instead of responded.  But even so, I refuse to give up on my desires to become consistently aware of my capability to achieve all seven; simultaneously.  My hope is also that YOU don’t give up on your capability either!

Lastly, I’m wishing You-&-Yours a wondrous Holiday!...Full of bliss, blessings, and brightness!  I am forever grateful to be one of your Mentor-Leaders.  All of my BraveHearts and UrbanKnights are priceless Gifts!  ...And there’s no-place I’d rather be.  Shoulder-to-shoulder with DCU Mentors is a great {and gracious} honor that I will cherish all the days of my Life!
